Ghalibaf in Meeting with Asim Munir: U.S. Cannot Gain Iran’s Trust Without Fulfilling Seven Conditions

Iranian media reported that Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, met with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan. Pointing to Iran’s deep-seated distrust of the United States, Ghalibaf emphasized that Washington can only earn Tehran’s trust by fully implementing the seven conditions previously presented in New York.

Hawzah News Agency- The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, emphasizing that Iran is "not a warmonger," stated: "We are fully prepared to defend our homeland and our national dignity." He warned that threats and military maneuvers cannot alter the strategic decisions of the Islamic Republic, adding: "It was the United States that, through miscalculations and a war against Iran, found itself in a quagmire; now, it is up to them to take the necessary steps to extricate themselves."

This meeting took place as part of a series of visits to Tehran by Asim Munir, occurring against a backdrop of persistent tensions between Iran and the United States regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the nuclear dossier. Reports indicate that while Washington has agreed to some of Iran’s seven conditions, Iranian officials have characterized the response as "insufficient and incomplete."
